2017 Bluebonnet Award Given to Roller Girl!
All the votes from 3rd through 6th grade students in Texas have been tallied, and the winner of the 2017 Bluebonnet Award is Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson.
Thank you for your Support!
We students, parents, grandparents, and all you supported our Spring Book Fair! Our book fairs fund all of our reading incentive awards and prizes, so when you support our book fairs, you are encouraging our students to read in more than one way! THANK YOU!
Thank you KES Families donating your gently used children's books during our book drive in February. Mrs. Neely's 1st grade class was the class that brought the most book donations, and they earned an ice cream party. In May, these donated books will be given new homes with our students--all students will benefit! Thank you for your generosity!
Renaissance Home Connect
Parents and students can view their progress on Accelerated Reader at home using Renaissance Home Connect. Student username is their first and last name, and their password is the first initial of their last name plus a four digit number unique to each student. Students in 2nd grade on up should know their login--our 1st graders are learning. The link for Renaissance Home Connect is below:
Bluebonnet Award Voting
Our 3rd through 6th graders have the opportunity to vote for which book they think should win the Texas Bluebonnet Award. Voters must read and pass the AR test on at least 5 of the 20 books nominated, and our 2017 voting party was on January 27. Our voters enjoyed an ice cream sundae, voted, and received their T-shirt. Each voter will also be recognized on awards day in May with an award certificate. For more information about the Texas Bluebonnet Award, use the "webpages" or "links" on this page to take you to the Texas Bluebonnet Award Website.
